Sender IDs for your SMS communications

Use alphanumeric Sender IDs to send messages to your CRM contacts, or any phone number, from the Agent Desktop as well as the Flow Builder. Many countries require sender ID registration with the networks operating within their borders. In the Contacto Admin Console users can register for Sender IDs in the 130+ countries supported. Contacto will notify admins once a Sender ID is approved and ready for use.

What is a Sender ID?

A sender ID is an alphanumeric name or number (11 varchar max) that recipients will see when a message reaches their mobile device. You might choose to use your business name or the name of a particular messaging campaign.

Sender ID best-practices

A sender ID like '12345' will be rejected because it is too short to be a mobile number, and a sender ID like 'h@pp1ne$$' will be rejected because it contains characters that are not part of the alphanumeric character set.
